Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is the largest Ukrainian university and one of the largest technical universities in Europe. There are more than 500 professors and 1,300 associate professors teaching at KPI. The University consists of 17 faculties, 7 educational and research institutions, a joint Ukrainian-German faculty of mechanical engineering, Ukraine-Japan Centre, 15 research institutes and scientific centres, design bureaus, and other units.
